The Lake Lemon Triathlon will take place in Unionville, Indiana just 10 miles northeast of the Indiana University campus. The course is safe and challenging, providing a race that will push triathletes to their limits. The race will begin at 9:00 am on Saturday September 18, 2010 with a pre-race meeting at 8:30 am. Parking may be crowded so arrive early accordingly.

Swimming Course

Swim

The swim course will be held in Lake Lemon, the 11th largest lake in Indiana. It has an average depth of 9.7 feet and water temperature for September is mild. The lake swim will be a triangle pattern with buoys on your left (change from last year). The swim will be in several waves with different colored swim caps provided to each wave.

Biking Course

Bike

The bike course is a 16-mile out and back weaving through the rural countryside of southern Indiana. The roads are well paved, providing a safe route. The course consists of several steep hills, creating a technically challenging and rigorous racing scenario.

Running Course

Run

The run course is a 3-mile out and back course along smooth pavement. It consists of several steep hills, creating a rough and challenging finish to the race.. The turn-around point set along a beautiful causeway along the lake at the 1.5 mile mark where a water station will be present. The last leg of the run is set along a short off-road trail with the finish line set atop a hill overlooking the lake.
